Artefact 5 was suppose to be the day atmosphere, however I came to the conclusion that it would be best to merge the day and night scene together, which in result allowed me to develop a new artefact for 6.
In result these images show the combination of day and night.

Client Project - Corridor update
Well I actually forgot to update the process of my client project, so here are the updates. As you can see the corridor has added lighting and better quality materials and the spacing has been altered so that it looks exactly like the real corridors within Castle College.

PRP: Artifact - 6 alteration
I have decided to change my artifact 6, which was the night scene atmosphere. Which instead I'm going to use this artifact as a combination of the main atmospheres I have used, in a sort of time laps movie e.g. nice and sunny to foggy and dull. For my final artifact I am going to use the combination of the city landscape and the park scenery and merge them together to create a final scene.
Example of my artifact 6:

Client Project - Corridor
Well it's been a little while since I last posted updates for my Client project, but I have been making very good progress. Here are a few images of the corridor I have nearly completed, the corridor has no light source just yet, this is why its slightly dark.

PRP: Artifact - Fog Update
I am piratically finished with my artifact three and with the adding the effects. Here is an image of the update and the the final update of this artifact. I will be adding a wind sound effect and for my final artifact, I will be animating the swing going back and forth and to finally add a fear factor I will add a rusting chain effect to the swings animation.
P.s. I will change the value of the fog thickness and the brightness omni light for the street lights, so that it develops more of a fear atmosphere.

Client Project
Well I haven't really been posting updates for my client project due to copy right laws and other legal matters, but I think its about time I show the progress and the development off which my client work is currently at.
First off all my client project is to develop a short advertisement of Castle College Nottingham, which is a walk cycle from the outside of the college to the inside which leads to the multimedia department. The animation will be approximately 30 secs - 1 min long due to it being an advertisement.
These examples are the first test renders that I did for the exterior of the College.
As you can see the exterior of the College has been designed to exact realistic likeness too the real College, the distance however will not need to be worried about due to the amount of foliage that cuts your vision and with using a blur lens, I will be able to simulate the distance fairly well.

PRP: Artifact - Snow update 2
I have learned a lot from using snowflow and I have to admit, it is an amazing plugin and definitely worth the money. I have been testing the snow plugin on my park scene and it works like a treat, I have also added the snow particle system and I believe with a few minor changes the snow artifact will be done by the weekend.
Here is the progress of my snow artifact so far.

PRP: Artifact - Snow update
I have been using a 3DS Max plugin which is called SnowFlow, which allows you to create realisitic snow resting on objects of your choice. The attention to detail of this plugin is incredible and it is very easy to use. I have applied the snowflow to my artifact and I believe helps the flow nicely.
P.s. I had problems using this plugin on my cityscape so I will have to use this scenery for my snow and probably my fog artifact as well.

PRP: Artifact - Night
The night artifact is pretty much complete, however I believe some alterations to the skylight will need to be done, so that the night sky looks slightly more realistic than it does now. I believe this artifact generates a sense of anticipation, horror and feeling alone.

PRP: Artifact - Daylight
The current progress of my daylight artifact is going pretty well, the effect of the day light system works very well. I have used a sunrise colours for this artifact because I believe it generates a calm and relaxing atmosphere.

PRP: Artifact - Snow
Here is the current stage of my snow artifact, as you can see I have used fog with the snow to create a sense of immersion and to also show how two environmental effects can be used together. I believe that the snow particles could be changed slightly, so that they produce a shimmering effect when they fall and the fog itself could be toned down slightly.

PRP: Artifact - Fog
Here is the progress of my fog artifact, as you can see I used fog and volume fog to create a combination of atmospheres. I believe the ground fog creates a horror/spooky atmosphere, whilst the environment fog creates an overall isolated feeling towards the scenery.
